the plants are still bone dry!
The blasted yellow plastic piping or whatever you call it has decided it won't stay in the connector once I turn the outside tap on. I've got one of those curly Hozelock Spiral Yellow Hose things which has worked fine for a year but not any more. What can I do? Help please.
I've had that problem before and what I did to remedy it was to cut about an inch or so off the end of the hoze (it had become rigid over time). Next I put the end of the hoze in a mug of hot water for a few minutes the re-inserted it back into the connector fitting and allow it to cool, for a tight fit. Hope it works for you.

Thanks Sam I am now dry and calm and have a glass in my hand. This is the second piece of watering equipment I have had to buy in just over a year and I'm not inclined to buy another if I can help it.
Chipchopper, now that sounds like a plan thank you. I'll have a go in the morning and see how I get on. I was thinking about trying to glue it in but your plan sounds better. Fingers crossed.
