Clarkson Offered Job Back - But When?

The sub-headline says that Clarkson was offered his Top Gear role "days after Chris Evans was given role ..."

and then the text advises he was offered the job "just days before Chris Evans was given the lucrative gig."

So which is it?

Not that I care, I have never watched the programme which appears from snatches I have seen to be an expensive version of Last Of The Summer Wine - three grown-ups behaving like little boys.

I haven't read any other posts, just want to say that I think him a detestable man (remember 'Who do you think you are?' all he cared about was trying to make money out of it) and if he is never, ever on the box or anywhere else I shall rest easier, in that I'm not likely to come across him by accident!

Not keen on her either, tambourine! Used to really like Clare Balding, but she has become ubiquitous and I'm going off her. You're right, bad news :(

Good news is I have no interest in cars (4 wheels and a steering wheel and come in various colours with different numbers of seats - sums up my approach) so if he sticks to that I should be OK. :o)
