How about, in Latest Post on the right hand side, we could have the number of people taking part in the discussion.

So as each person enters the thread, the number goes up by their name, which tells others, how many people are taking part.

Possibly of interest, especially if combined with number of posts (so if the posters count was 2 say and the post count 68 it would show a minority interest but very prolific conversation.

Yes, it could add a dimension trt, I like the idea.

I used to contribute to a forum which gave you the facility in any thread to list all contributors and their number of contributions.

I expected to get negative replies as some of A/Bs didn't think of it first, or don't like changes and as Canary said,

A couple of weeks ago, some were saying that A/B was getting boring or old hat, people were leaving, and needs a facelift, so a few minor changes or improvements could entice new blood to the forum.

Like most forums/businesses making changes is a necessity to keep up with the times.

I also posted a few months ago that, I think when we go back to a thread that we have posted/answered in, your last post comes up first so you don't have to scroll/search to find it.
The Ed liked the idea, but was trying to find a way to do it.

I am sure that the AB company would want to encourage new members, so why don't others give them some new ideas?

This is my first post since 2238 last night, would I have shown as being on thread all that time or would I now show as a new contributor (+1) ?
I admit you thought of it before me, I can also come up with a reason or two for that, but you wouldn't like 'em!
