Do you cut back peoney roses once the flowers have gone? Thanks in advance to all who reply.

From the RHS website:
"Roses should be deadheaded after flowering where this is practical, but only on plants that don’t produce attractive hips (seed-pods) after flowering."

Yes, you can dead head them.
This will help to divert energy back to the roots for next season and prevent it being wasted on seed production.

Chris I think Trixie means peonies which are often called peony roses. Cut the dead flowers off but leave the leavers otherwise the plant can't get any nourishment for next year.
