Just seen a tv ad and the pronounciation of IKEA seems to have changed.

It seems to be now called Icky-a.

Not a good move in my opinion.

I've always thought that the Ford Ka was pronounced "car". Re Pam Shriver and "semi", I think American people should pronounce words the way they normally would in their own country.
On a similar theme, John McEnroe calls the tennis player Novak Djokovic "joke-a-vich" whereas Brits say "jock-a-vich". In Serbia, it's probably nothing like either of those.
