Varicose Vein Maybe?
8 Answers
in the last few days I have had a pain in my left leg, just at the back toward the inside of my knee, it started off above my knee, yesterday it extended to half way down my inner calve. It feels like a bruise but no sign of anything. I am on my feet a lot at work, aged 57 and generally in good health, probably about three stone over weight, I dont drink or smoke.

I may be wrong but I thought varicose veins were raised near the surface of the skin and visible. My wife literally frog marched me to the Dr on Thursday thinking I may have the beginnings of ulcerated varicose ezcema. Had a history of aortic and bi femoral bypass so it was suspected it was a possible vascular problem. :-(
