Does Hammamet Village & Le Saphir Hotel Still Exist

I remember going on holiday with Airtours back in 1997 to the above twinned hotels. They were joined and you could use either hotel facilities. I can't find it on the map of Hammamet. I can only find details of it mentioned in Holidays Uncovered. There is a hotel named very similar but it has little or no details of it, or many pictures.

LOL I never mentioned about going on holiday there. I just had my honeymoon there, and was so ill with campylobacter food poisoning, and so were loads of other people at the hotel but this was back in 1997, and was wondering if it was still around

That is not the same hotel Zacs. The one I went to you had to cross the road and then go down a footpath approx 600m to get to the beach where there was a bar on the sand, The Le Saphir had a free form pool, whilst the Hammamet Village had a rectangular one, not sure if it had a kiddies pool by the side.

If you look at them on the links on tripadvisor, etc on their maps they are at completely different areas of Hammamet
