Hello J9pur - if you are knocking about I had to get to the chromium plate thingmajig fixed last week re (unfortunately) eating a toffee ( stupid me). The lovely dentist fixed it brilliantly (not my usual dentist) but anyway - he said it wasn't "snug" enough and to my delight he made it very snug and lovely.
Unfortunately it was so snug i didn't take it out for about a week say last week to clean it and it took me so long to get it back it I got frightened and was crying took me an hour to get it back it - I haven't taken it out again.
I clean my teeth - chromium plate and my own teeth every day maybe 3 times a day (with the the the chromium teeth still in ( ( I don't take them out ever). Will I endanger my gums /health etc my not taking them out . thank you (I tried one time to get them and they were so tight (but ( I am happy with that tightnesss) I just feel they are my teeth.
One thing I have learned (no they are not my teeth so I will be careful ) = could give a safe answer without me being a pesky patient.
I am very happy with them in my mouth all the time =- it sometime worry me is it bad for the gums. Help please J9pur, - Gum Health really. Thank you

Yes, you must take your denture out regularly:
a) After every meal to clean the denture and your remaining teeth. Never clean your teeth with the denture left in as you risk damaging the denture and you will not clean your teeth effectively
b) At night, for hygiene reasons
Failure to do so will risk:
a) Tooth decay
b) Periodontal (gum) disease
c) Fungal infections of your mouth
Go back to your dentist for further adjustment until it is still retentive but you can insert and remove it easily. It's a fine balance. It might only take you dentist 30 seconds, but is essential.
Hope this helps
