I think it is "The Sky at Night" still fronted by the legend that is Sir Patrick Moore.

We've been through this before. The longest-running show is "Panorama" which first aired on 11 November 1953.

Other long-running shows include: BBC TV News (1954), What The Papers Say (1956), The Sky At Night (1957), Grandstand and Blue Peter (both 1958).

If you really want to push it, you could claim that Strictly Come Dancing is a continuation of Come Dancing, which first aired in 1949, but I think that's straining it a little.
