hey!!! does anyone remember the childrens tv show The Clangers? if so does anyone know that they are? thought they maybe a animal, but not sure. can anyone help?

they were definitely pink but cant remember much else. did they have really long noses like anteater type things!? i guess i always thought they were aliens or something!

You can buy a CD of a couple of their programmes - the music and voices.

Borders had it a few months ago. So I rushed out and bought one. True!!

The search is over for what a Clanger is. i found out what they actually (thanx to saxyjag) "alien eking".

I am some what disapointed by this as i thought they were mice. i still think im right to be honest. anyone agree?

My daughter is an avid fan of the clangers! they still appear on channel 5 in the kids programmes early in a morning! lol, i shall be watching tomorrow!

Roaldom. i can not tell u how jealous i am bout this. although im quite happy that u seem to agree that they are like giant mice/rats. there quite nasty lookin creatures actually

I have a Clanger looking at me right now. It's about 4 inches high and I got in in Debenhams about 2 years ago and when you press it's tummy it makes the clanger noise. Think it's supposed to me mother clanger 'cos it's wearing a shawl. You can tell my age 'cos I still talk in "inches", don't suppose I'll ever grow up now!

A Clanger first appeared in a Noggin the Nog book, "Noggin and the Moon Mouse", I think that answers the question :)
