So sorry! I was looking for the answer to this clue (within theanswerbank.co.uk) and actually ended posting this as a question (iPhone screen small, eyes tired, fingers big and clumsy).

Full clue was (5 1 5 4): This is definitely not a puzzle. No argument!

And i guess the answer is "Never a cross word".

But worded as it was, it had indeed a distinct surrealist flavour.
