I think a lot of people with less than a full pper bag of facts are misreading Mr. Trump's popularity. Mr Trump's over-simplistic notion of 'building a wall' is designed to appeal to people who like to believe that complex issues have simple solutions.
Either Mr Trump is that naïve that he really believes that a wall is a viable solution to the issues he highlights - which I seriously doubt - or he is shrewd enough to know that there is a massive Republican voting electorate out there with whom his option - laughably impractical is it is - will chime loud and long.
