I'm not surprised. No longer do women have to spend all day Monday over the kitchen sink with a washing board, a scrubbing brush and a mangle; nor all day Tuesday baking bread for the week; nor all day Wednesday cleaning the windows and beating the carpets on the clothes line; nor all day Thursday lugging loads of shopping home. No wonder they're getting fatter. Bring back the 50s, I say.
