Just thought I'd mention that the Royal British Legion are selling hessian "bags for life" decorated with poppies. Have a look on their official website.

I bought the poppy brooch last year, and this year I've bought 3 of the hessian shopping bags; one for myself and one each for my two friends. Each Christmas we used to give each other a voucher, and a few Christmases ago, we decided it was silly, and decided to limit our present budget for each other to £5. What a challenge, but to be honest, we find really lovely gifts, and its so much nicer to actually look for something. So this year, from me, they get a British Legion shopping bag and some home made truffles:-)
