I think you need to consult your instruction booklet. Is there a window with a code showing on your machine anywhere? If there is, the instruction booklet will tell you what the code means, and how to put things right. If there is no code system, the instruction booklet should have a section on Troubleshooting, and you might find your solution in there. Good luck.
This sounds as if the door catch will not release. Try putting a little pressure on the door in front of the catch and see if that lets it release. Also the catch will only release when the control panel senses that the machine has finished its cycle, to prevent accidentally opening the door whilst the machine is full of water or moving. Try running a spin or rinse cycle and see if that then allows the door to open. If it is the mechanical release lever located in the porthole it can be a bit of a job to free it, involving access being needed through the top of the machine or from underneath.
I left it off at the mains for a while & went out... Then turned on & still wouldnt open- i opened the plug part at the bottom where all the water floods out to see if something was jamming- and the door opened. Strange!!!!!!
Its currently on a cycle so we shall see if its now working! Thank u all xx
