Sadly, this isn't proof that just what you call 'the left' are 'masters of nasty', it's politicians, pure and simple.
No matter what side of the divide they sit, if the opportunity to score points over the other side presents itself, most of them will seize it and use it. Not all, I'll accept - there are some with an ounce of decency - but the vast majority of the career politicians we allow to run our lives these days would.

The Tom Watson of the 1980's, Geoffrey Dickens MP, Conservarive, was equally as tenacious as Watson is now, in hunting out paedophiles.
Unfortunately, like Watson, he was sidelined and ignored and the monsters that prey on children continued. Dickens handed a dossier of the alledged abusers to the Home Secretary, Leon Brittan, who did nothing and apparently lost the evidence. That in its self is enough to arouse suspicion of the man. True there were a lot of incompetent men in the Cabinet at the time, but I don't think Brittans lack of urgency and action can be put down to incompetence.

Two piza's Watson had no proof and plod knew there was none either. And on top of that one of the accusers has made it known it was a 'joke'
There is no defence for Watson whatsoever, however much those on the left wish to twist it away from what he did. He is a nasty piece of work and the puppeteer of Corbyn.
