Can we have more sub-categories?

This would make posting and finding interesting questions and answers easier for example in travel you could have UK travel, European travel, Travelling with Children etc.Is this possible?

I'm trying to get used to seeing the Username at the top left side of Answers, but would prefer to see it at the bottom as before. I feel it detracts a bit, as it's so close to the beginning...

Background colour

Though I have 'good eyes', the white background can be a bit much if logged on for a while. How about a more eye-friendly pastel colour for example?
