Can anyone tell me what ply Patons Decor knitting yarn is please?

Anyone know what Patons Decor yarn is the equivalent of? Soneone kindly suggested 4ply but the needles are 4mm and 4.5mm which would suggest something thicker - maybe an Aran - can anyone help please?...
