Personalised present

My friend has just got a PhD and we want to buy her something we can personalise but that she'll use and isn't a cliche (i.e. a clock). Any ideas? So tricky!

Bridesmaid presents?

  I'd like to buy presents to give to my 2 adult bridesmaids .I love them to bits but does anyone have any ideas of something a little bit special which won't cost me more than around ?100 each?...
