burglar alarm

on my last question on burglar alarms i neglected to say that it keeps going off when its not set. it shows tamper but dosn't say which pir has detected anything. The battery is about two years old...

We have a British Gas alarm & my mum and dad have just come in to our house and put the wrong code in. Now the alarm says that we require an engineer reset code? Does anybody know how we can get this...
