Does anyone know how to remove and prevent further growth of mushrooms on a lawn where a toddler plays, and without damaging the lawn too much if possible?

Do you put mint sauce on anything other that lamb?? And would it be frowned upon by high society if you asked for mint sauce, say, with roast beef or chicken in a top-notch eatery?
