Thinking of installing Wood burner to replace coal fire

Please any advice/tips would be appreciated on wood burners Also have heard this is very exspensive to fit?? Has anyone fitted a wood burner themselves?? Many Thanks...

insulating a house with no cavity wall (built 1926)

Please could somebody recommend how I can insulate my house but as it was built in 1926 we have no cavity wall. The main external wall which is the side to my hallway and toddlers bedroom is FREZZING....
