auto start cd

when i inserted a cd in my computer(windows xp) it used to start automatically. when i updated my hard drive i now have to start with my computer, drive e then click on file to play. how do i get back...

i have updated windows media player to wmp 10 now it says" no cd or dvd burner has been detected press F5 to refresh the player". this does not work ihave tried updating drivers but is says the driver...
