lcd tv poblem

i have 42" lcdtv, flickerig vertival lines, i have tried switching the tv off and on again but it still flickers, could it be something to do with the resolution, the back of the manual says sample...

lcd tv problem

i have a brand new vistron 42" , the screen has vertical stripes or lines fickering, it stops for a while then starts again
