Power shower running scalding hot...

Haven't touched any of the controls yet it seems as though the cold water isn't getting through. Any ideas?

What type of tree...

There's a tree growing locally which has produced a crop of small pear like fruit. The flesh is tan coloured and has a pleasant appley aroma. Any idea what it is?
