2 weeks notice

what are my rights if i want to leave my job,i have been offered a better job but they want me to start right away but in this job they say i need to give them 2 weeks notice how do i get around this

I have planted asparagus for the 1st time, it will not be ready for 2 summers to harvest and will then last for 20 years, but it is long and spindley , do I just chop it down for it to come next year...

i work in an accounts department for a steel company, it is our stocktake next weekend and we are expected to work all weekend with no pay. So i will be workin 12 days in a row 9 to 5 with no day off...

When steaming food using two separate compartments on top of eachother, which one will cook the fastest? Also if cooking fish in one and potatoes/veg in the other, which is the best way round?
