mondeo battery light

while fitting a sat nav in my ford l blew the lighter fuse. l replaced the fuse and all seemed ok but since then the battery light stays on ????

l fitted a sat nav in my ford today, in doing so l blew the lighter fuse,l fitted a new fuse and every thing seemed ok but now the battery light stays on ???
