Sagem DTR 6400T/6700T digital recorder keeps sticking at midnight every night

I have a Sagem DTR 6400T/6700T digital recorder which has worked great but in the last few months it keeps sticking at midnight and the screen goes blank and I have to unplug it then plug it in again...
