Problem Taping A Film.

When taping a film on TV we put in the correct length of time, but it stops taping well before the end..does anyone know why this happens please?

Sometimes I get white crease marks ( colour seems to have been removed) when washing dark blue or black items, even new items,... what are these marks & how do I stop them appearing?...
