I fully understand that it's the Ed's site and them's the site rules...
..just for clarity though, are there a generally agreed set of standards between various Eds and Mods about what is an acceptable posting and what isn't, and are they - more or less - evenhandedly applied?
It's irrelevant. By using this site you agree to abide by whatever decisions the mods and ed deem fit. I had a post removed and a bollocking from the ed for posting comments on a non CB thread. I accepted it and moved on. If you're not prepared to accept decisions you don't agree with then maybe this site is not for you.
nowt to do with me Desktop, in between me asking if you wanting it removing, and you replying and me seeing it, someone else was quicker, lol.
But still, please think on before posting on here whether the post will hurt whoever it's about. There isnt always gonna be a mod or an Ed around to do damage limitation for you.

Some of the rationale behind certain decisions is puzzling though, when you look at some of the drivel that is allowed to remain.
And the rest of mine. The rules boil down to put up or shut up.

Nah, some of the modding on here is petty and invariably inconsistent.
What, you mean you hadn't until now B00? I'm stunned.......
In all seriousness, my main bug-bear is............well, to be honest I can't even mention it because it'll get jumped on, but some Mods can speak about it openly. That's all.
