Are You Being Thrown Off Ab Regularly?
82 Answers
We're working on the issue. Honest!
If we can't get it resolved soon we will have to switch off the adverts (don't cheer too loudly, it's what keeps me in ermine and fabergé egg omelettes) for the weekend.
My appologies for all the trouble.
For some context: this isn't just an AB problem, this is a web-wide problem effecting many ad-supported websites. So you're not alone in your pain!

I left this page open and went away from my computer for a few minutes. Upon my return the page had 'frozen' and was overlayed with a notice which read :-
"Page cannot be displayed. Update Flash Player to the latest version."
I clicked-out the page and was then confronted with what appeared to be a genuine Adobe page to Download Flash. However there was a security notice on the bottom of my screen which asked :-
"Do you want to download New Flash Player fromkyle:mxp 1037 com."?
Hans.

Hans.
I've only experienced this particular problem on AB.
Advert related problems on other websites - yes, but normally the advert taking over, not a virus checker either preventing me proceeding or at least warning me I shouldn't.
And I'm wary about clearing cookies - last time I did so I had to spend a considerable time working out logon ids and passwords for various sites

Ed, my suggestion of cookies removal was swept away by you in an extremely
rude manner as this link. Now you endorse cookies removal?

A gentleman would apologise?

Ed, Whatever your 'Nerds' have done, does appear to have made matters worse.
I am now getting a message which, instead of "Page cannot be displayed. Update Flash Player to the latest version." is in a new format and states :-
// Recommended
You are currently browsing the web with Internet Explorer and it is recommended that you update your video player to the fastest version available.
Please update to continue. //
Clicking the OK button then makes my Security (MSE) bring -up a Thick Arrow, flashing and pointing to the bottom of the screen to ask if I wish to run or download set-up file from, guess who, yes of course...... kyle.mxp.
