Perhaps the right time to do a poll on how we would vote? Personally I dont think canvassing or csmpsigns will make any difference. We are all pretty sure of our intentions!

Jack; Around the dinner-table we just call him Charlie.

ichi;// I think to Khandro anything to the left of Nigel Farage is communist :-)//

I prefer Boris's conservatism (small c) to Nigel's ideological approach to politics. Though if it comes tactical voting I'd vote for either of them.
labour are dangerous, limpdums are deluded as always, let alone undemocratic ie open the flood gates to migration, as long as there not out of pocket, snp only have one agenda, and thats dead in the water
the eu do not want another basket case, dup...tribalism err the truth of the matter is..with an irish twang..
Labour are only dangerous to those who are selfish and creaming it off the state.
My comment wasn't aimed at people with bladder/bowel problems. It was aimed at those who are losing it, out of fear. Fear of Labour winning a general election. People who are shedding blue bricks at the thought of a Labour PM. Well, it's true, isn't it?
If Labour win this election I'll show my arris in Harrod's window and repeat the next day at Selfridge's.
10ClarionSt, read my 14:53, labour really..how old are you.
Jeremy thinks he speaks for "the working man", but knows f.a. about work, having never done a hand's turn in his life. If that's not bad enough, he has only ever read one book.
Khandro, true..building work all weathers, engineering tarmacic to name a few, many many more, let alone the over worked in the service industry, or any physical work altogether...yet speaks like an actaul worker, at least to consevatives admit they havent.
Fender, workers lost out in the end because of the Traitor Twatcher. It's pointless people mentioning the 70's then forgetting the damage that Twatcher did to this country. From which we have never recovered. The only thing that hasn't been privatised under the Tories since 1979 is the NHS. And it will be privatised under the Tories. Your comments about me are unnecessary. You make your points fender, I'll make mine. Simples.
If the cons get in without Brexiteers assistance there will most definitely be tears after bedtime. We have tasted their gruel, witnessed their incompetence, and turned a blind eye to the blatant corruption endemic in the very root and branch of the party. Time for a new horizon.
10ClarionSt, she saved the country from ruin, tell me one good thing about labour...dont hold your breath.
Thatcher destroyed this country and it has never recovered. Have any of you been "up north" in living memory?
Clarion, //Labour are only dangerous to those who are selfish and creaming it off the state.//

Who would they be then?

diddlydo, I go ‘up north’ often. Why do you ask?
Where is 'up North', I live in the West Midlands and that's North of Watford Gap.
Lots of good things about Labour. The NHS for one. Health and Safety At Work. Redundancy protection. Holiday pay. Disability legislation. Twatcher ruined the industrial base of this country with deliberate vindictiveness against working people by closing down manufacturing industries and intentionally causing unemployment and poverty in lots of areas of the country. Whilst all this was going on, her husbands' cronies were making millions out of the closures, buying up assets and selling them to the highest bidders, then closing everything else. She was a despotic, tyrannical traitor who should have been publicly hanged in Parliament Square, and her statue should be demolished.
However, I still make the point that the Tories are shedding blue lights even at the thought of Corbyn getting to No10. They talk about Brexit, education, the NHS, housing etc but always end with a dire warning about Labour getting in power. They're absolutely bricking it over Corbyn. No doubt. But they should be more worried about the damage that Farage will do to the Tory vote. The cry then will be; if you're not gonna vote Tory, please don't vote Labour! Please! Please! LOL! :o)
Good post 10 ClarionSt.
Does anyone on here think that giving people the choice to buy their council houses was a good idea?
I haven`t made up my mind yet WHO to vote for this time.
Probably the people who bought their council houses do...
The idea of selling council houses wasn't meant to help the people who lived in them. It was a money issue, to take the financial burden off the councils, and hence, lower the financial committment from central govt. When that happened, and you'd bought your council house, you were on your own mate.
Selling off council houses was one of Thatcher's many crimes. Very few are now lived in by the people who bought them in the first place. Instead, they have been bought up by well-heeled people, had extensions and new front doors and are no longer affordable for those on low wages - they sell for circa 450K in my village, forcing those born and bred in the village to move out to cheaper pastures.
