Brighton's I360 Gem Or Eyesore?

On TV now, Inside Out for our region, is asking whether it is a gem of the south coast or a terrible eyesore?

Zubar's obviously happy with it, Tash, Mrs B and I will come down when it warms up a bit, maybe we can connect and you can confirm we are real (do we need to bring the dogs) def. going to give it a go ;o)

I'm almost sure you can't take dogs on it, Balders...for obvious reasons probably...The views are stunning, both looking inland towards Devil's Dyke and surrounding areas, and along the coastal stretch both sides, especially on a nice clear sunny day. :-)

The dogs would sit in the car Mate if we were daft enough to bring them. There have been some opinions offered that not all of us are real, I'm happy to run with that challenge and meet an independent referee. Not really my call.

Balders, I believe you to be EXACTLY who you say you are, nothing different....I know I am, and there are a few who use this site that know me very well in reality, as they're friends I've known for years and I can trust them 100% not to disclose my name and details of where I live etc..and they expect the same back.....Like I said earlier, these people over the years, have become good and firm friends and I can regularly contact on FB or Twitter etc.....
It will be, of course, lovely and a pleasure to meet up sometime,if you so wish too, but confidentiality is key here, on this site particularly simply because not everyone on it is true to their word as to who they are, and maybe have an ulterior motive for coming on it......you remember the trolls who used to plague this site....Well, I believe that some of them are still amongst us.....Nieve to think they're not, don't you think?.....that's why you have pick your cyber friends very carefully.

But, having said all that, it would be nice to, perhaps, arrange a meet sometime.:-)

Great 180 degree view. The other 180 degrees is just water. I like it, I don't think it's an eyesore, though of course I don't have to live with it.

After such a beautiful weekend of sun and warm weather, Brighton was a lovely place to be today, after work this morning popped in, as I was here meeting Mrs B for a spot of Tiffin, in the brilliant sunshine this afternoon, all the beach side pubs, cafes, restaurants and bars with benches right near the beach packed, loads of tourists here too, especially on the Pier, having donuts, crepes, ice cream, and fresh fish and chips, and we had our favourite sweet afterwards.....A Belgian waffle with hot caramel sauce and coconut shavings, which is just divine, lots of tourists too, and schoolchildren sitting on the grass in the park area around The Royal Pavilion......Summer is definitely​ coming....Really lovely atmosphere today....Everyone mainly had smiles on their faces.....But.....Guess what?....Yep......

The i360 got stuck again near the top at the weekend and is not open until at least tomorrow...so no tourists there then...apart from disappointed ones who found it closed for the day....Spoke to a lovely elderly couple down for a short break from York who wanted to go on it today, and are hoping it'll be fixed for tomorrow morning, as they go back in the afternoon.... They gave us a big hug and said it was nice to find such friendly people to talk too....they were really sweet. :-)

I love being by the sea....should have moved down here years ago.
