Our JoggerJayne has though...
//Yes, I've been up the i360. It's much better than I expected. The security getting on to it is really tight, of course. There's a Nyetimber bar inside the pod, so you can have a glass of fizz while you're up there. £10 for a little plastic glass, but you feel sort of obliged to indulge. It's definitely worth going up, even though I was quite sceptical about it while it was being built. x//

While Brighton has some places which are individually attractive (such as the Pavilion or the Van Alen Building), it's never had a particularly attractive seafront. (It's a mix of the good, the bad and the downright ugly). So the i360 can't possibly do it any harm.
Rhyl got there first though!

It`s different in the country but in towns the skyline is always evolving. You only have to look towards London from Vauxhall/Waterloo to see that - it has changed so much. I think there is something depressing about Victorian seaside towns in this country so if something glitzy such as the i360 comes along to liven it up then that can`t be a bad thing.
I love going to Soho, 23.... it's got so much character and atmosphere.....used to play at Billy's nightclub there, and Le Beat Route in Greek Street too.
Across the road was Groove Records, where I used to pick up brand new weekly imports, fresh from the U.S and other countries, also UK released records, and white label promo's some from record companies.
Happy memories :-)
