I think all advertising for holidays to Portugal should be banned. How can anyone trust a country whose police has handled this case in such a messy way? I would defiantly not be taking my family there again. I also think that rich personalities like Sir Cliff Richard who lives there should uproot and move to a country that would spend the tax that he pays on his vineyards etc. On a better police force.

I have also decided that because I have now got the hump with Sir Cliff Richard, I will try and sell all the records that I have him and send any money that I receive to Madeleine's fund. If I can't sell them I know just the place for them on the 5th November!

PolpozFTW- Very happy to hear that you had a great holiday in Portugal with zero problems how lovely for you. Just one thing, how do you know that this little girl is dead?

Legend758duo Heres a thought for you, the Portuguese police seem to have accused nigh on everyone without an unembroidered arrest. The problem is that they bungled this inquiry from the very beginning (fact)

Your statement stating that Maybe we should ban Renault Meganes from the road too?? (Sick)

You sad case, youre just another fine example of the other insensitive bubble heads that have replied to my thoughts on the Portuguese police force.
I COMPLETELY agree with DJonesy. If I went missing like that my family would be so depressed they probably couldn't get out of their beds, nevermind manage to SMILE FOR TV CAMERAS!!!!

Something COMPLETELY fishy about the whole thing, and I don't trust Kate Mccan one bit.
I love bubble heads

agree with pauli though, something amiss with the mccanns showboating and lack of emotion..

cazz1975- So glad to hear that you love yourselves.
Its now plain to see that you all agree with each other and that none of you are showing as you say lack of emotion!

You bunch of weirdos. sorry, Bubble Heads!
Bit off topic but .....Why are you giving yourself stars? lol
of course it is plain to see I agree because I said I agree....?! (I wrote it in my post remember?)

I would imagine a stranger would naturally show less emotion than the parents of madeleine, whilst their daughter is missing they pop over to the states to see how the police solve crimes....hmmm yes I can see the raw emotion there...

PatriciaH- Because I can!
Portugal is not to blame for the disappearance of Madeleine.

Its Kate and Gerry who should not of left them alone

The principle of the AnswerBank is simple ask a question in any of the subject categories and fellow contributors will supply an answer or two.
The questions can be practical, like what is the best method to remove tea stains from a carpet or they can be about why the Portuguese police suck! The options are limitless.
Good for you, Totter. Glad to see that someone else thinks the Portuguese police are the pits. They have no place in a modern democratic European society with their shambolic (so-called) secrecy which forbids the suspects to speak at all but allows every knacker of a local newspaper title to have a "police" source for claims, sometimes two claims a day, re: the McCanns and their missing daughter.

It is long past time that diplomats asses were kicked re: how citizens (guests) in a European State were treated.

I keep thinking positive thoughts Maddie will come home. I always remember back at the beginning how her family said she was at the centre of her siblings worlds.

I agree that the sleazy Portuguese should be boycotted in ever small way. They sickened me a country all through this summer.

Hi satarmack,

Thank goodness theres someone else that has some good old fashioned common sense!

Thank you for your comment.

Sorry Hi starmack,

Thank goodness theres someone else that has some good old fashioned common sense!

Thank you for your comment.
,
I find all the comments completely ridiculous.
I am half Portuguese and think trying to botcott a country because of what has happen with Madeleine is completeley out of order.
If you don't want to go because of it fair enough but ralling people up to do the same ridiculous.
Question Author
Hello Totter,
I have read through all of the Q & A on your views and those of others and think that youre right and that you also have the courage to sick with what you believe in and not follow the rest like sheep!
Can I bring to your attention Totter, the hundreds if not thousand of children who go missing in other contries every year. This case is in the news because it happened to middle to upper class people and it made a good story in the British press (and Europe). Do you not think the police in other countries have made errors like these before? How about the British police? They are not all they are cracked up to be. The shooting of Jean Charles De Menezes for one.

I say it again that Totter, That's me! has the right to say what I believe is true!
Stop jumping on the media fueled band wagon. If you really want to make a differance boycott countries that use slave labour.
