The Time Has Come......for A New Puppy!
It's now 9 months since I lost my dog. Now the time has come to start afresh. Yesterday I saw our new puppy for the first time.
I can hardly wait to be a dog owner again, since being without has made me very lazy, I must admit. I used to be out in all weathers, and now it's too easy to stay at home when it chucks it down.
He's a Welsh Springer Spaniel, 5 weeks old and we're calling him Harry (a Prince called Wales with red hair and a sense of fun:-). We get him mid April, so plenty of time to make the place puppy-safe!
For that reason we've put off the new carpet and suite - let chaos reign!
Marvellous!

You can not only put off the new carpet and suite, you can also put off any dieting that you might have planned! Springers require lots and lots (and lots and lots and lots) of exercise, which should help to keep you fit and slim too ;-)
When you get your new friend, please put a pic online (Tinypic is the easiest place) and post a link here so that we can all admire him.

According to the BBC's online Welsh dictionary, he should certainly stick to you ;-)

Well, after a Golden Retriever it had to be something completely different. Over the years we made sure that a new dog was never anything like his predecessor. They were all individuals in looks, size, and breed.
I've had an English Springer, liver and white as a teenager.
A golden Cocker, a blonde Schnauzer mix, a black and silver Spitz mix (Tara)and then Sandy. Now it's a new chapter in my doggy book :)
