Hi everyone... our female cat was given an Anti-biotic, and an Anti-Inflamatory jab on Friday, for a cystitis type infection.. which she seems to get a couple of times a year..poor little thing.. lol... she's back to her self today..anyway, since the jabs.. she's been drinking more water than usual.. not heaps, but small amounts often.. I was wondering if it could be the jabs that have made her thirsty? I'll mention it to the vet.. just wondering what your thoughts are!.. Thanks everso... Mrs C x

When my cat was on antibiotics a few weeks ago , I noticed that he drank more than usual, but I would still ask vet to make sure.I hope she is better soon.
Mention it to your vet but thinking if this was a human female with cystisis and possible temperature I'd expect extra water intake to both flush out the infection and replenish dehydration from the fever. Just a thought.
mmmm!...not convinced that her thirst is due to her medication.....it might be!

Ask your vet if he could exclude....diabetes.
