Still lots of kittens coming in & out. The 22 that were dumped a couple of weeks ago all with cat flu, 3 died but the rest & the mum cat are all doing fine. The older kits have been nuetered & gone off to foster homes. Rehomed a gorgeous girl today lottie. Her brother went yesterday so she was left on her own but a lovely guy & his mum took her today who live on a farm so plenty of land! Also 2 lovely brothers Bodie & Doyle went togeather today. Went to stroke a new cat that was brought in yesterday & she cowered i think she must have been hit/smacked by her previous owner!! = ^..^ =
Hi Kat, glad to hear that most of the kittens have survived and that cats are still finding good homes. I hate that some people are cruel to animals, makes me sick and very angry. I hope the new cat learns to trust and has a happy life with whoever takes her
I can 'just' about understand why people abandon them. Losing jobs...children to feed etc etc....but to hurt an animal is beyond me. I can't fathom it...
No Boo. I did explain last time that 22 kittens & 1 mum were dumped togeather in a cardboard box. The kits are all at different ages & only some of them belong to the mum but she is briiliant with them all.
I couldn't do you job, my heart would be broken on a daily basis and i'd try to bring as many home as possible. I'd be known as the Crazy Cat Lady on my street, as opposed to just plain crazy now :-)
I remember when we were looking to get a dog, we went to our local animal sanctuary (Bleakholt) and there were little heartbreaking signs from 'the dogs' for us to read- i was in floods walking round. Mr Boo was mortified at me and we both refused to go again- me as I was a pathetic wreak and him as he was so embarrassed.
