Sunny day turned very cold, so we went out for lunch ( oven braised lamb, of which I am now getting fed up!)Then Mr N lit a log fire and it's all cosy. It is now too hot so am wziting to see portillo then goung to a coolish bedroom!
No worriesive gone ahead and ordered some Schwarkopf colour and twist as I can't get it here anywhere. Just realised that internet shopping from UK will involve Spanish customs after March 29th
they are notoriously awful. I may have to place another order quickly.
got some chips for lunch and had a chat with the guy behind the counter about teeth - he knows that I mostly buy chips when my teeth are playing up and sympathises because his teeth are falling out too. So he's going to Turkey for a holiday and while he's there he's going to get six implants for about £1800. So I said holey shirt, that's what I pay for one. He said it was odd because everything in Istanbul is more expensive than in London, except dental implants. Funny old world.
Its the same in other places too Jno, people go on implant holidays... I just wonder what you do if something goes wrong after you are home again....or even during the process while you are there.
Its chilly and foggy here. I was going to wake the tortoises today but I think I will leave it. You are supposed to wait until they begin to warm naturally. Everything is ready though which is a good feeling.
My friend went to Prague and got all new implants for £3,000. Look brilliant and he's had no problems. Went back once for a check up and no problems
That was a few years ago so may be a tad more expensive now.
Woke up.tp a message that my 79 yr old bro in Oz was rushed to hospital at midnight with chest pains and breathing problems. He is such a darling and is having tests.
Then to top it all off hija was almost mugged again in Barcelona but she was quick and snatched her backpack back again and someone else shouted so he ran off. What a world.
And then my gbfhas also been rushed to Hosital here with chest pains . I give up!!
I don't question the techniques used Neti....but if your bone density isn't as good as expected or you are harbouring an infection (both happened to me) then it can all go wrong regardless of how good the technique is.
my feeling too, woofgang; typically 3 or 4 visits are involved and if each one requires a return flight to Plovdiv or wherever, the costs are going to mount up. The ones I've asked claim to require only two visits, assessment/treatment and a checkup a few months later, but that's not always been the case in my experience.
Yea I have very little bone density so cannot have implants which is why I have one top molar which connect a with one bottom molar which enables me to chew. When that's gone I'll be sucking on chips too!!
Bro allowed home as he was fretting (he's a great worrier and fusser)with lots of meds and instructions to rest, and has to go back to outpatients.
Gbf also still in hospital but may be allowed home today. I swear his was indigestion!
Hija arrives tomorrow but will tackle her room tomorrow as cba today.
yes, there's some sort of club meeting here tomorrow, neti - OH's club, not mine - so I suppose some tidying up will be called for. Hoover the aspidistra, put away 16 pairs of socks, that sort of thing.
dust aspidistra with socks, hang socks on aspidistra job done. bright and warm in the sun here so torts will be getting up late once I have digested my lunch. Did I say I have got an aspidistra in my bathroom? decided the new giant shower needed some decoration to soften it.
Beautiful day here. Hija due home tonight so I've been slaving away cleaning everywhere, then queuing for an hour in phone shop to get her a replacement sim as its in my name the queuing again at accountants as only needed to hand in a small piece of.paper but I obviously look as though I am on a gun rampage so had to wait and not allowed to go through by which time I felt liking shooting the lot of them!!
Think Spring is on its way and I am most displeased as we didn't really have much winter!!
Glad Rami Malak won an Oscar for Bohemian Rhapsody!
the socks have all gone in the bin - I was going to wash them and give them to charity shops but OH assures me that the homeless and destitute around here only want brand new socks. Plus it is so lovely out that I have been diligently pruning the hedge - just the bits that grow over the fence into next door, which is most of it.
nice day here....tortoises fine and have eaten which is amazing considering its their first day awake....have carried on with the clearing and made progress and had smoked salmon with sourdough bread and radishes and champagne for dinner. Its a dirty job but someone has to do it.
Good heavens Woofy don't you ever rest up?
I've done 3 loads of hija's washing and have a 4th white on hot. She just puts things in laundry instated on wardrobe! But I like washing! Very springlike here!
Neti I do a bit and take a break. its amazing how much you can get done in 30 minute bursts. The dogs have had a lovely day today. I was sorting out upstairs so the sprawled out on the bed in the sun.
