Sweep them up, hose them away, vacuum them up, step on them?

As soon as they become flies, they'll be off, anyway. Flies don't have a home, as such, they are great wanderers.
If you can get in real fast with a high pressure steam jet wash, it should kill them off before they metamorphosise into flies.
Wash down the surrounding areas with a diluted mixture of Jeyes Fluid which you can get from a good hardware shop. It smells pretty potent too which should discourage any more flies and maggots.
