Underdogs BBC 2

I am certainly unsure about the principle of how they are going to screen the people who "win" the underdog. BUT what a great way to prove a cross bred rescue can be a brilliant dog.
Casper was scared stiff of forthright Theo who did not even notice it was scared. How lovely to see an equally large and powerful man treat him with such kindness that he decided to reward his kindness with a smashing performance. Not to say anyone else did a bad job as they were all great but this partnership stood out for me as it just proved these dogs respond to the correct training and attitude. Well done Hewie. Hopefully he will stay in and get some one word commands learned.
What a star Robson is too. They are all stars in their own way.

but in response to your first statement, i dont think it is the type of dog at all that depends on how 'brilliant' it is!
We were very niave unfortunately when we got our 2 dogs & kind of assumed good behaviour comes with pedigree, we learnt the hard way that is not true at all!
My sister got her staffie cross for 20 the same time I spent 500 on my pedigree Samoyed, and her dog is amazing! He is so well behaved and a perfect little fella!!

Yes its a really good idea to highlight the dogs in rescue centres around the UK, as most people like to forget about them..
My only concern is why isnt the money raised by the show being donated to animal rescue charities ilke the RSPCA..etc
Its a slap in the face for all the dogs in centres and those that are put to sleep every day..Total shame its like exploiting the needs of one to give to the other..
