Kennel fees

Does anyone have a rough idea how much I can expect to pay for 2 Jack Russells for a fortnight ?

Hi peppy,I guess kennel fees differ throughout the country areas but when I went into hospital my local kennel fees were �5.50 a day for my labrador.

when my mum puts her cat into a cattery for 2 weeks it costs around �170!

�7.50 a day each dog for kennel with run but should give a discount if the dogs are sharing same kennel.

One place locally said the was no discount for 2 in one run so I said ok I will demand the kennel next door be vacant for the 2 weeks then if I have to pay for 2. They said an arrangement could be made!!! I did not take them needless to say. but about �7 is average in lincs.

I know some kennels that charge �10 per dog whatever the size, although there is a �1 per dog discount for sharing.

Most in this area (Norfolk) are about �8 per day per dog.

where do you live ? I know an excellent "dogs hotel" in Cambs [about 40 mins from Stansted], they charge �12 per day but only �20 if both go in same kennel which has a rubber floor, proper camp bed and and piped music dayime and a run in a secure field each day, this is same price as London outskirts.Plus they spend time with your dog, been going there for 5 years now.
Most important is goung to have a look beforehand, some kennels just keep them prisoner in a small cage for 14 days, it would horrify you if you go and see.Pls check carefully.
