Is the cat just trying to get the dog out of the way for the dog's own protection, do you think? They seem friendly enough otherwise - the dog doesn't seem to mind, and the cat doesn't seem aggressive once it gets off the Roomba.

Hmmph. I was up at 6.00am making Mr LL a packed lunch like a dutiful wife ;o).

However, I went back to bed as soon as he set foot at the door at 7.30am and Meggie the dog came back up with me and we stayed there until about 1/2 hr. ago.

Not raining here yet but it won't be long .We had a powercut here yesterday just after twelve and it was nearly three before they put it back on again
.Now my computer is playing up again.Freezing screen and eggtimers everywhere .

Oh dear, you poor old lot. Sunny and warm here (too warm). Mr N was up at 7am to paint the pool before he went to work, I pretended to be asleep in case he wanted help!!

Thomson's are cutting down their staff so hija now has to do all Friday nights at the airport taking excess baggage charges from 22hr til 5am, wearing a uniform, and she was so glad not to have to deal with the public!

Now THIS is boring: I'm going to the orthopaedic place to return my insoles and insist they make them the way I demanded from the start - I ordered full size but they made 2/3 size and it's not working for me. Arfernoon! Been Tai Chi~ing this morning then went for lunch to The Navigation in Breaston, Scampi and Chips. Lovely. It's becoming myTuesday favourite. My chip treat for the week.

Had to nip into town again this afto to get my specs sorted again. They feel a lot better now thank goodness. I was begining to think I shouldn't have bought them but the girl I saw said they even looked wrong when I walked in th shop and she sorted them straight away. That's the trouble with varifocals they have to sit exactly right or they're no good.

I am about to throw away a dozen old pairs of specs - kind of hesitantly becaue my eyesight seems to fluctuate all the time, sometimes better, sometimes worse, so I worry that three-year-old specs will actually work for me again. First I'll check if any of the local chemists etc will recycle them, though, as it may be they can go to help the blind children of Bangladesh.
