My dad is very ill so having to run backwards and forwards to the hospital he has been helping with my kids.

I had a 'friend' or thought I did!
Had been like sisters for 12 years since we were both expecting at the same time. Both had boys and they were best friends.
My son was killed in a road accident when he was 11 and when I needed her support the most she let me down badly. Now I only rely on my dog and my husband (in that order)!

No, it was because he husband thought she was spending too much time with me. In fact she was having an affair and did not spend as much time with me as he thought she did.
Nineteen years ago now but I shall never forgive her!

madmaggot, that is so sad, my heart goes out to you. Losing a child at any time, never mind so young, does not bear thinking about.
I agree with what you say about the dog, pets are the only "friends" who give unconditional love.
