I feedback my indoor Fantail one pinch of food a day. Is this too much, not enough or just right?

the best idicator is leftover food or the quality of water deteriorating if you are feeding too much. one fish would require a tiny amount x
I fish-sat for my neighbours while they were away - their two goldfish in a tank had one pinch, every other day.
I feed one pinch to 7 rescued gfish daily - had them 3y with no probs; they're between 1 - 3inches long & tank cleaned weekly.
A good guide would be as much as you could heap on a space the size of the fish's eye. Just watch him/her/it when feeding. With daily feeding the food should all be eaten within 5 minutes. G-fish eat more when it is warmer.
Been feeding Goldy (I'm imaginative) one pinch every day and he's about 10 now, so i'm doing something right :-)
