you are joking ethandron, right? Please tell me you are!

Something on here might help.
B00s finger is hovering above the report button, me fears, ethandron.
that is so cruel !!!
I have the same problem. How is the bottles of water supposed to stop them?
I have seen the plant advertised but never tried it. Owners around here leave their cats out whilst at work so they wander into my garden. Any more suggestions which have worked?
Slug pellets seem to work for us here
I have a lot of large pots which the cats took great delight in pooing in, we also had slugs. I bought some slug pellets and now I have no slugs and no cat poo either
I beg your pardon DT?
holding the cat under a running tap, wouldn't be my first thought - very cruel.
reporting ethandron to the authorities - the Ed probably doubles up for the RSPCA...

No it is a little off and I suspect there is some leg-pulling (no pun meant) going on.
no BOO, i'm not. the final crunch came when my husband woke up in bed at 3am with the blooming thing sitting on his chest!!! we spoke to it's owner who was very apologetic but could give us no answer to the problem.
cats are very independent and we reckoned it would soon find someone else to feed and take care of it, and to be honest even if it didn't, i wouldn't have cared, it was such a nuisance. whilst i would never attempt to kill or physically hurt a cat, i have absolutely no sympathy with them or their owners when they become such a problem for people.
dogs are subject to all sorts of rules and regs, cats can roam and wander and mess willynilly and there's not a darned thing anyone can do.

try these zzxxee - I have got 3 on my lawn, they do work - I also painted mine with luminous green paint - so they glow in the dark.
actually, i believe it was the rspca who suggested giving it a good soaking with a hosepipe.
soaking with a hosepipe isn't the same as physically holding it under a runninig tap. With the hose it at least has a chance to run away after the initial shock.
^^ ditto ^^
I used to have a problem with the neighbours cat just wandering into my house, which as it was rented was a huge problem if they got locked in and caused damage, so I tried a anti cat granular gel I sprinkled at the gate which cats are supposed to hate, didn't work so I got a a thing made by the RSPB but other companies do them you put a square battery in them stake them in the ground and if the motion sensor picks up anything it lets out a sound that cats can hear not humans and it scars them away, They sell a lot of these for rodents these days that you plug in the loft etc. But this ones for cats, It seemed to work ok but some rare cat breeds have different ears so it won't work on those rarer breeds. it cost about £90 a good few years back hopefully cheaper now
no, you're probably right, but when you've tried every other possisble thing to deter it, believe me you lose any sympathy. i can understand why people would think it not a nice thing to do, but it worked, and it's still alive and kicking and causing problems for other people.
whether cat lovers agree with what we did, and what we were proposing to do, or not, they have to admit that cat poo and cats roaming where they're not wanted is a huge problem for some people. if the law can't or won't do anything about it then people have to deal with it in their own way.

you could try to get an animal of your own to chase them off or try not to leave any welcoming things laying about like food or sheltered places like boxes.
Lay in wait. Then surprise it by spray ing it with water mixed with Vicks whilst HSSSSSSing really loudly at the same time - don't forget to bare your teeth. Freak the f*cker out - it'll get the message.
My neighbour directly opposite hasn't spoken to me for about 2 years. I asked him if it was okay if I brought my dog to crap on his lawn, as his cat was doing it on mine......
