Great video of the Manton Bay male 5R bring back a huge fish (Bream) to the nest. Apparently it was too big to get out of the water so he swam it to the bank. Godd view of the three chicks too. It is the second video on http://www.ospreys.or...ory/osprey-team-blog/

A little while ago I mentioned that one of the male ospreys at Rutland, was missing presumed shot. The female was fed by the Rutland Bay team but finally gave up incubating her eggs. Rutland were licensed to intervene and took and incubated the three eggs. one failed, one died during hatching but one survived and has now in one of the other nests at Rutland (picture here http://www.ospreys.or...ry/osprey-team-blog/) with three other chicks.
Lovely milvus - sadly the Loch of the Lowes eggs are still showing no sign of hatching, but Lady has still now laid a magnificent 61 eggs!
Sad news there Milvus, good job Rutland bay Team were able to intervene and save 1 Chick.

A shame about Lady's eggs in Scotland Boxtops, I bet she will be back again next year. Rutland are doing well this year. The welsh ospreys also seem to be in good shape. Are there two separate sites now Redman?
There are 2 sites, one in N.Wales and the other in Mid Wales which was featured on last nights Springwatch.
There are 3 well developed Chicks in N.Wales Nest but the Webcam link is very poor and often does not work at all. Typical !!!
The Ospreys in Mid Wales are well behind in their development.
