I saw a pair of blackcaps in my garden this morning, I'm assuming they are new arrivals from Africa.
I watched them for several minuets flitting about in a cherry-laurel, they appeared to be visiting the flowers, possibly feeding on tiny insects.

Maybe they're french if they were doing a minuet?
I've had a male and female black cap visiting my garden (South coast) for at least a couple of months now. I think some stay farther north now and as the winter was pretty mild they turned up quite early.

Thanks Ratty!
I noticed the female has a brown cap, which made it easy for me to tell them apart.:)
