Individual threads (or single posts) can only be 'pulled' by the editors, so please don't blame the moderators.
There was one thread tonight where the person who started the thread seemed to be deliberately goading the moderators but, despite the fact that there were four of us actually posting on that thread, it was around for a remarkably long time.
Most of the moderators really can't be bothered with suspending or banning people for every little minor transgression. For example, I can honestly say that I've never zapped a single one of the 'regulars' on this site. I've certainly got rid of quite a few trolls (including the same person three times in the last hour) who appear as 'newbies' but who then immediately launch into attacks on other users, as well as loads of 'advertisers' and similar unwanted people.
However some people, who've previously been banned, make a point of telling everyone exactly that. Then, even if their posts are fairly innocuous, they're likely to get zapped fairly quickly. If they want a 'fresh start', all they have to do is to keep quiet about their past but some people seem to be incapable of doing that.
