Flowers on a fig?

I have a nice brown Turkey fig tree in a pot. I get about six figs a year and very nice they are too. BUT I have never seen any flowers on my fig tree, just suddenly tiny figs appear. So...do figs flower and if so when and what do the flowers look like? and if figs don't flower, where do the tiny figs come from??

well we've hardly been here 5 mins & I'm already worrying about our next move - I've found another unanswered post of woofgang's in suggs and several for neti - poor neti you do get ignored sometimes...the kitchen post is fine btw - and very good, although a pic of the oldies in the snug on Corrie would have been more accurate.

It's going to so hard avoiding the b word - I think it's too late to worry about it - any bother & we'll just report 'em.

We'll need to wait a couple of days before we scrub the link in case anyone we've forgotten about decides to shout very loudly in suggs - "Hey, where have the B's gone??" I've sent smudge a nudge btw....haha

Thanks so much Estie. Us Biddies are a bit slow off the mark and it certainly hadn't dawned on me. The silly thing is, we do no harm, never run down anybody, don't use bad language and welcome genuine folk with open arms, but there are the moaners about that say we are abusing the rules of the site.

Chatterbank was set up for chat such as we have. Wby can't people just let us be. Chatterbank has gone because of the abuse, but the Editor has kindly let us stay. If people don't like our silliness then they needn't read it. To be quite honest, too, there are quite a few of us here that give genuine and good answers in the other 'proper' topics.

Robinia, earlier today I mailed the Editor to thank her. She has replied and said if we get any problems to let her know. I am sure most ABers know she has supported us so she won't mind me telling the Biddies.

We don't have anything to be embarrassed about anyway. At our age we have been there, done that and worn the T-shirt so why should we worry about what people think. We are entitled to be daft in our dotage!!

So lets hang out our liberty bodices and bloomers on the washing line for the whole world to see and feel proud!!!!! After all, we didn't fight in two World Wars for nothing! (Gessoo gets back to her work singing 'Land of Hope and Glory at the top of her voice)

Robinia - I remember you were so nice to me when I first joined and was so nervous about posting! Thanks for that.

I have made some great friends on here, and I am very sad that chatterbank was closed. It is great that you all created this place to come and stay in touch. Most of my friends from cb have scattered all over the place, and I HATE that new cerescape place. Believe it or not, the people there are even more vile and hateful than the meanies that were on suggestions last week.

I don't think anyone has the right to challenge your right to be here - and none of you should feel bad about it, especially since you have the ed's OK! Anyway, after this weekend it turns out that a few of the users we thought were individual users were in fact one or two people using multiple usernames just to report our chatty threads! I think most have been removed by the ed, so maybe things will calm down a bit. I certainly hope so!
